Duality and balance are the premiere values reflected in the brand identity design for “Persian American Women’s Conference.” Being Persian and American, mother and career-woman are at the core of this conference. In Persian mythology, Simorgh, a legendary bird with gorgeous feathers raised Zaal, the abandoned albino son of Saam. When Saam came to take his warrior son back, Simorgh gave Zaal her feather to set on fire for her to appear and save him at the time of need. This logo is a reflection on Simorgh and her burning feather, the burning tulip from the Persian rug, and the feminine curves of Persian Nastligh calligraphy.
